Recently Vodafone took on Lewis Hamilton as UK 5G ambassador, so it’s no surprise to see Vodafone becoming the “Official Communication Partner” of the Porsche Team during the 2019/2020 FIA Formula E Championship.
What is Formula E? Well, it’s where all the cleverness of your upcoming electric car will probably start. A race between fully-electric single-seater cars doing more than 125mph along the streets of 12 major cities in four continents.
Vodafone will be stamping their logos on the cars and uniforms during the five-year sponsorship, and they’ll be providing communications equipment and technical support too.

There’s a natural alignment for Vodafone with Formula E, a next generation, technology driven sport that appeals to a broad and ever-growing audience and that has concern for the planet at its heart. We have a very positive working relationship with Porsche and together we’ll look to break boundaries in vehicle technology.
In addition to the partnership in Formula E, there will be a collaboration between Porsche Motorsport and Vodafone in eSports in the near future.
