A phone that you might have missed at the Realme Madrid event is the Realme X2. It’s the lower-end model and not the Pro version we covered yesterday.
Price-wise, it’s really cheap. just €299.
The camera arrangement is on the upper left of the rear panel but despite the pricetag, you still get a 64 megapixel camera like the Pro version. The CPU is a smidge slower (a Snapdragon 730G (octa-core 2.2GHz) and the screen is a bit lower quality but, it’s still very good value for money.
OK, headline stats then. We have a 6.4″ dew-drop Super AMOLED screen (2340×1080 pixels @ 402ppi) with a 91.9% screen-to-body ratio, an in-display fingerprint scanner and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The camera arrangement features a 32 megapixel selfie shooter and that main 64 megapixel rear Samsung camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It sits next to an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2 megapixel macro lens and a 2 megapixel portrait camera. There’s lots of camera modes, including AI scene recognition, HDR, panorama, night mode and glamour modes.
Other details include GPS, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a microSD card slot to boost the on-board 64GB (on the 6GB RAM model) or 128GB (on the 8GB RAM model) storage. By the way, that Realme X2 €299 price gets you the 8GB and 128GB storage model, which you can then boost with a storage card.
It also comes with a 4000mAh battery with 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. Expect to see this and the other Realme phones on Amazon soon. You can also get more information and to be notified when it’s available on the Realme website.
