Xiaomi announce the Mi Note 10. It’s got a 108 megapixel camera, baby!

The phone company that no-one can pronounce (apparently it’s “show me”) has today launched a couple of new phones. The first is the Mi Note 10. It’s the latest episode in the Mi Note flagship series, and comes with a bonkers 108 megapixel camera setup. In addition to this wide-angle lens, there’s a 5 megapixel and 12 megaxpiel telephoto lens plus a 20 megapixel ultra wide-angle lens. All of that means that you can zoom from 0.6x all the way through to 50x without losing any image quality. Oh, and the pictures resolution can go up to incredibly high levels – 12032 x 9024 pixels.

The camera setup also features a “ShootSteady” technology for a smooth video performance. It delivers a 960 frames-per-second macro slow-motion video and 4K video too. There’s also a 32 megapixel front camera with AI wizardry to make you look all beautiful.

Other features on this one include a huge 5260mAh battery, which supports 30W fast-charge and can stay charged for more than two days. It should go from 0% to full in an hour.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 also has a 6.47″ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 400,000:1 contrast ratio and an in-screen optical fingerprint sensor. This is a 1080 x 2340 pixel panel with a 19.5:9 ratio and an always-on display.

Available in Midnight Black, Aurora Green and Glacier White. UK pricing isn’t confirmed as yet, but it looks to be pretty competitive considering the €549 pricing announced already. That’s for the 6GB+128GB model, but there’ll be an 8GB+256GB model soon.

Powered by a Qualcomm® Snapdragon 730G CPU Octa-core CPU (2×2.2 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver), there’s the latest MIUI 11 GUI which adds dynamic sound effects, productivity tools, wireless file sharing and the removal of unnecessary interface elements and visual clutter.

Dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and a type-C USB charger are all included.

UK availability and pricing coming soon, and we’ll let you know know all the details when we have them.
