Lots of us here at Coolsmartphone use Chromebooks as our primary computing device, and now we’re hearing from the folks over at Android Police that they can be used in “tablet mode” with a gesture input. This is very similar to the one you’ll use in Android 10.
The new additional features will be arriving in Chrome OS 80 and will let you swipe and dash around the OS in a similar fashio to Android 10 devices and Apple iPads.
As you can see above, there’s a “swipe to go home”, swipe left to go back and a “swipe up and hold” to open the overview.
It’s not yet arrived on the Chrome Stable channel just yet, but is available as a beta. Go to the Settings in your Chromebook, select “About Chrome” and switch the channel if you’d like to give it a spin – it’s within the Beta Channel.
If running a Beta version of software is not for you, it’s believed to be coming to the stable version in March.
