Good morning all! Hope Monday is treating you well. Now, at the weekend I stumbled over this tweet from Abdul Q. He’s been looking at 60W wired charging (and let’s not forget, 60W is what “old school lightbulbs” use).
Now, though, there’s wireless 60W chargers too. If your phone supports it, you get an insane charging speed. Just check this video out to see how rapidly it boosts the phone battery..
We thought 60W wired charging is bonkers stuff. This is wireless 60W 😲. Promised full battery in 20 mins. I wonder if they'll be mass-producing this. #VivoApex2020 #vivo pic.twitter.com/pQp9yzg135

The phone in question here is the Vivo Apex 2020, a concept phone that was due to get some eyeballs at Mobile World Congress but .. we all know what happened there.
Vivo have been around for over ten years and they’ve got an impressive selection of phones already. We’ve covered them in the past, however this Apex 2020 could really push them into the worldwide spotlight – a 6.45″ fullview edgeless display with 120 degree curved edges, a “continuous optical zoom” system via moving lenses and a “gimbal-like” stabiliztion system on the 48-megapixel primary camera.
Back to that chargeing though, and the 60W wireless charging sees it charge a 2,000mAh battery in 20 minutes. Bonkers. Double-bonkers considering that’s wireless charging.
Powered by a Snapdragon 865 processor with 12GB of RAM and 256GB, we’re yet to hear if the Apex 2020 5G will actually go on sale, but let’s hope eh?
