Vodafone have gone a bit bonkers today, and are offering their Unlimited SIM-only plans at half the price for the first six months. It’s on their 24-month SIM-only deals, so you do have to buy into it for a couple of years. However, what it does mean is that you can get a totally unlimited plan from just £11 per month for the first 6 months. After that, it’ll go up to £22 per month for the remainder of the plan.
It’s worth explaining with these plans that, although you can enjoy 5G at no extra cost, speeds are capped – so the “Vodafone Unlimited Lite” that I mentioned just now is capped at 2 Mbps. That one is perhaps more suited to those who want social media. For anyone streaming, plans like the “Vodafone Unlimited” plan (which is normally £26 per month but £13 per month for the first 6 months) gives you speeds up to 10 Mbps.
Vodafone also offers the Vodafone Unlimited Max deal at £15 per month for the first 6 months, then it’s £30 from month 7 onwards. Speeds are unrestricted on this one. All plans get roaming in 48 European destinations and this plan adds 29 more – including the USA, Canada, Australia and Jamaica.
These plans are really turning things around – it’s not all about how much data you’re going to consume and you don’t have to worry about hitting a cap. Instead it’s the speeds depending on the plan you go for.
