We earlier stated that BT Sport and Sky Sports wouldn’t let you pause your subscription despite the distinct lack of sports right now. The reason, of course, is the coronavirus pandemic, which has stopped our lives in many ways.
Sky Sports, just a day after we ran that story, made pausing the service possible, but BT Sport made things a little tricky by advising their customers that they could pause their package only if they were on a new flexible TV package.
Now BT CEO Marc Allera has put out this tweet..
As a @BTSport customer, you can ask us to donate the cost of one month’s BT Sport to support NHS staff, or claim one month’s credit back and we’ll take it off your bill.
You’ll need your BT account number – find it on your bill, or log into My BT.

It’s only a month, which is a tad disappointing considering the expected length of the lockdown we’re experiencing, but it’s something at least. You’ll need your BT account number and you can either then donate the £25 cost to support NHS staff or have it added as credit on your bill.
