We’ve mentioned this phone a couple of times now. We’ve dubbed it the “flagship killer” due to the excellent specs and low cost.
The UK version 8GB RAM, 256GB storage version and a rapid Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core CPU. There’s LiquidCool Technology (2.0) with a vapour chamber, multi-layered graphene and 5G. Up-front there’s a 6.67″ 2400×1080 Full HD AMOLED screen, a 4,700mAh battery and 30W fast charging (0 to 100% in 63 minutes).
Around the back, a quad-rear lens setup with a 64 megapixel main lens (Sony IMX686 f/1.89), a 13 megapixel ultra-wide lens, 5 megapixel macro and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. Then there’s that pop-up 20 megapixel selfie camera. plus WiFi 6, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1 and Android 10. There’s even a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Available here on the mi.com/uk store, it’s already sold out. That’s probably because this top-end phone is only £499.
Xiaomi are pushing hard into the UK right now, partially due to Huawei and Honor having problems with their distinct lack of Google Play and other Google Apps. No such problems for Xiaomi or the Poco F2 Pro.
