This looks similar to the existing Virgin Media V6 TV Box and indeed, it is. Although built by a different supplier, the hardware inside is broadly the same in the new Virgin TV 360 set top box.
There’s also a new “Virgin TV 360 Mini” which is essentially the same box but without the hard disk inside. Ideal for additional rooms. Announced on the Liberty Global site, the new Virgin TV 360 box has a new user experience and a new remote control. There’s a clear navigation system, HD, 4K and all the streaming apps you can shake a stick at.
Record six programmes at once while watching a seventh, plus you can now watch on demand show and live TV in one room, before pausing and continuing in another room.

The Virgin TV 360 has a voice search, voice control, family profiles and the ability to restart live TV shows.

Virgin TV 360 is our most impressive TV service to date, providing one of the most complete and comprehensive viewing experiences available in the UK. Backed up by our ultrafast broadband, our new service allows TV lovers to watch all of their favourite channels, apps and on-demand content in one place or on the move. This really is game-changing TV and we are know our customers will love it.
Users of the Virgin TV Go app will also get on-the-go streaming and a new revamped experience. The new box runs the Horizon software, which was originally launched in 2012 and has been developed by Liberty Global themselves.
