That time of year has come around again when we get some new phones to unbox and review. First, one up this year is going to be the brand new Realme GT 2 5G which is hot of the press as it has only just been announced in Barcelona at MWC 2022.
This is a continuation of the Realme GT Brand from last year and it is focused on providing great specs and value for a fair and reasonable price. Now the eagle eye of you will be reading this and will be saying that this phone is old news and you are not entirely incorrect in that observation as the phone was previously announced at the beginning of the year but in its China only guise. I have got the 12 GB RAM and 256GB version of the phone in for review and in the few days I have been using it the phone has felt fluid and snappy. The only time I got any hangups was using Android Auto wirelessly but that has been known to cause even the most powerful phones to falter.
I have found the camera to be quite nice to use and I was able to get some pretty good pictures on a day trip to the Zoo as shown below.
I also gave the camera a bit of a nighttime test just after dusk and it wasn’t too bad.
On the phone’s user interface, I am very happy to report that one of the biggest bugbears I have had with any Realme device I have used has been resolved. I can now add multiple of the same instances of widgets, Hazzuh!!
So that is me just scraping the surface of the Realme GT 2 5G I think this is gonna be a fun phone and I am looking forward to getting to know it a bit more over the next few days and weeks while I finalize my review.
