However, if you’re looking for a hotel then your wrist can now come to your aid. Hotels.com have updated their Android app to enable wearable devices to receive updates. For example, you’ll receive an update when you’re heading to the hotel with a picture of the hotel, the address, the reservation details and a map to get there.

Hotels.com Android app notifications first for wearables
Increasing the momentum for wearable technology, Hotels.com announces a cutting-edge update to its Android app, enabling those with wearable devices to receive helpful notifications direct to their wrist, through a vibrating alert.
Useful reminders will be sent to guests at 2pm local time, the most common time for travellers to be on their way to check-in. Holidaying early-adopters will also be able to see the hotel image, address, map and full reservation details through the app on the screen of their wearable device.
Dan Craig of the Hotels.com brand said: “As one of the first travel companies to get on board with wearable technology, we’re delighted with this new initiative. Hopefully our customers will be too, as the app allows for a really innovative experience, while also delivering up-to-date and helpful content.”

Available to download for for Android users from Google Play, the app also provides more than 11 million user reviews and last-minute hotel rooms close to the users location.
