Kazam have been touting there latest Android devices here at MWC this year, I was passing their stand and spotted something, it was a bright yellow phone. Yes I have found another bright yellow phone. It had me hooked and I just had to go in and have a look at what they were promoting. Basically they had two out of their three Windows Phone devices on show, the Thunder 450W and the Thunder 450WL, they both share similar specs and vary only really with their design and a few tiny spec differences like Dual SIM or 4G inclusion. Both devices look rather familiar, with the 450W looking basically the same as the Blu Win HD Windows Phone, but Kazam are quite good at selling rebadged devices so it’s no surprise.
Let’s have a look at the details for each phone then.
Kazam Thunder 450W
The 450W is a 5″ device running Windows 8.1, equipped with a Micro SD slot, Dual SIM and no 4G. I really liked the look of this phone, it felt a little like the HTC One M7, it looks great, the screen was nice and responsive and the overall design is pretty cool. It is just a shame that it doesn’t have 4G.
Spec wise it is as follows:
- Dimensions: 144.9 x 70.8 x 7.9.
- Platform: Windows 8.1.
- Screen size: 5″ (720 x 1280) 720p LCD-IPS.
- Processor: 1.2 GHz Quad Core.
- Cameras: 8 MP / 2 MP.
- Memory: 8 GB Internal / 1 GB RAM.
- Key Features: Dual SIM, Micro USB, Micro SD.

Kazam Thunder 450WL
The 450WL was also on show, it looks like a plastic hybrid of the HTC One M8 and One M9. It has 4G and a scratch resistant screen, although compared to the 450W it just doesn’t look quite as nice.
Spec wise it is as follows:
- Dimensions: 145 x 72 x 8.2.
- Platform: Windows 8.1.
- Screen size: 5″ (720 x 1280) 720p LCD-IPS with scratch resistant glass.

Overall I was quite impressed with the Kazam Windows Phones, yes they are basically rebadged OEM devices, but it is nice to see new manufacturers releasing Windows Phone devices. If only that yellow one was 4G…..
