Are you a gamer on mobile devices? Do you get frustrated with having fiddly controls on the phone?
If you have answered yes to either of these questions then you may want to point your browser to Madcatz. They have got some really good-looking gaming controllers which are on show here at MWC 2015. You have all sorts of goodies to choose from. There’s the L.Y.N.X 9 Mobile hybrid controller all the way to the L.Y.N.X 3 mobile wireless controller.
Both of them are available to pre-order on there website now. The L.Y.N.X 9 is the vastly more expensive option as it is fully modular and it will accommodate your smartphone or your 7 ” tablet. It is constructed from hard-wearing metal giving a premium feel and solid build quality. Its modular design allows the device to fold down to a very compact unit small enough to fit in a shirt pocket.
Here are a few pics of the controller.
Having the ability to break down the controller to make it more portable is a great idea and is very useful for those who game on the go. You can pre-order now for £249.99
If, however you cannot afford the expensive one then there is the cheaper option
It will still fold into a very compact size but when expanded gives the same style of game pad as its more expensive sibling. Just for a fraction of the cost. It costs £59.99 and can be pre-ordered now
Madcatz were also talking about the Play Big solution that they announced last year both of the above controllers are compatible with this system and the L.Y.N.X 9 includes the cables necessary to make it happen in the box. The whole idea of Play big is that it allows you take gaming back tot he bigger screen like we used to do back in the early noughties. So you could be playing a bit of GTA San Andreas on your phone in the way home from work, then you get home you hook your phone up to the big screen then continue your bloody rampage over the city. Here is a video explaining the concept.
I you don’t really fancy having a dedicated gaming controller then another product that was being shown off is the S.U.R.F.R Keyboard/game pad. This ties in very nicely with Big Play as you can be playing games with the controller and then you get a text so instead of knocking the gaming on the head momentarily you can pause and respond to your person of poor timing right there on the controller before jumping back into your stolen ice cream truck. Unfortunately when I went to get images of this one I couldn’t find one so instead here are some stock images. Its costs £59.99 and can be pre-ordered now
Some pretty cool controllers there all of which are available on the MadCatz site to order for delivery in March.
