A fifth of UK drivers admit to using their mobiles behind the wheel

Every now and then we get an email from a company which includes research relating to mobile phones. The company involved will want to get their name mentioned (in this case it’s Protect Your Bubble) so that they can have some free advertising.

This is another one of those, but the research is really rather interesting. According to their poll, just over 19% of the 2,005 people questioned admitted to using their phone whilst driving over 84% said it was annoying to see others doing it.

Apple, as many iPhone owners may know, has recently added a system which stops the phone being used while you’re driving; though it is easy to bypass.

Another big annoyance is seeing people checking phones mid-sentence. Nearly half of Brits admit to doing it (43.6%) and 64.8% also admitted to being glued to their phone while walking.

The UK’s 10 most hated tech habits are, according to the survey…
