Just a few days ago we were all probably having a chuckle after RIM lost the entire North American Blackberry network. Although it’s easy to poke fun, there’s no denying that many, many people still choose the Blackberry platform over Windows Mobile. However, Windows Mobile users will soon be able to add Blackberry software to their Windows Mobile 6 devices following a statement today from RIM.
The software will have all the Blackberry features such as email, text messaging, browser, instant messaging and organizer plus the familiar Blackberry user interface. Other features include the BlackBerry “push” technology, BlackBerry Mobile Data System (MDS), BlackBerry Internet Service and support for BlackBerry Enterprise Server, which will integrate with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino or Novell GroupWise.
