Welcome, So the rules for this coverage are:
- I won’t talk about Pre/Post shows in detail only mention what they are doing for them
- No event screenshots, Not because I can’t but because the stream quality isn’t great and I wouldn’t want to force that on you but new trailers will be here
- I will be added trailers where possible
- I will try to cover all the key features mentioned and extra I believe matter
- I will be opinionated if there is something I don’t like
The Ubisoft E3 Pre-show had Rainbow Six Siege tournament and then a Brawlhalla competition for a fan to win a seat in the conference hall.
A teaser trailer for the conferance comes on and then straight into Just Dance 2019. Some weird Panda dancing and crazy clothes with a live band playing while very slowly working their way to the stage. This October Just Dance comes to the usual suspects of platforms.
Now for Beyond Good and Evil 2. Very much a spacey show off for this game. A strange conversation is going on between multiple characters before this sound like they are going very wrong. I must say the vehicle design in this game looks very nice. Two of the development team walk out onto the stage to talk about the game and some of the new things comings. The game is set in the 24th century. Now for Pre-alpha gameplay. Seamless gameplay and from what I understand available in Co-op which is surprising. They are offering a program to let the community build the game in certain ways. This will be in the terms of art, music and props. Company called “Hit Record” is to crowd build content and collaborate on producing it. A very interesting concept that hasn’t been done before in Video games.
Rainbow Six Siege is nearly in its third year now and here is some new content again it seems. 35 Million players have dipped their toes into Siege. The Pro League kicks off soon again. one of the many different competitions for this game. Here is a trailer for a documentary based around the game and following community players on their path to glory. Another Mindset is the name.
Trials. Who knew that still existed. No I like the Trials franchise in the form of Trials Rising. The graphics tend to look the same as the previous title, Fusion. Now a YouTube is on stage talking about his channel and how it helps the trials community. Ubisoft brought in trials community members. A beta is due later this year and comes in February 19th on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Trials was surprising but now for Division 2. Touting a 1:1 recreation of Washington DC is the setting. They are now showing a CGI trailer. Actual wildlife seems to now be in the game and a step forward in the world. But the gameplay from yesterday still looked to samey for me. Flaunting story for the Division 2 must be hard as the first one wasn’t great but who knows where this game could go. Raids featuring 8 players instead of the normal 4 player incursions. 3 DLC is announced for the life time of the game and completely free for the players. 30 Minute game play footage will be on after the conference. The game will release on March 15th 2019
Mario’s crossover with Rabbids last year received good reviews and good fan acceptance. Now it seems to be there is going to be a Donkey Kong adventure. Live music is being played along side a trailer. The music for once fits and is from the artists behind the score for it. The donkey Kong adventure comes out on the 26th of June and the 25th for season pass owners.
Skull and Bones, the Pirate part of Assassins Creed Black Flag in its own game basically. It is also another CGI trailer and it feels like it is starting to devalue the game play. The trailer for this game only has the voice over to it coming out the right ear cup which is horrible. Even worse after I noticed. Set towards the end of the pirate era the last few big scores help you climb (haha punny) your way to the top to the pirate legacy. Now it seems to be time for some game play. I don’t know if it is the sound off a bit but it started only in the right ear cup again. The game play now looks very similar to a photo realistic version of Sea of Thieves. Now some Co-op game play has me mildly interested. I feel this game needs to have the ability to run round the boat to really get me engaged.

Transference. Elijah Wood comes out on stage. A new title trying to capture a new kind of game play in a families heads. A horror game coming not only to VR but also traditional platforms. This game comes out Autumn 2018
Starlink was announced last year. A new space centred game focused in starsystem called Atlas. A Spaceship combat game with promise but it does look like it looks to much towards the figures in the real world. Released October 16th. Now for some game play. It has a very Star Wars Rebels feel to the graphics. Star Fox comes out of no where. That looks amazing. Miayomoto is in the audience today as well. What a Honour to have him like last year. He is gifted a prototype of the vessel from Star Fox. Star Fox is exclusive to Nintendo console.
For Honour. Remember that? It was a bit of a flop at launch. But it seems to be gaining traction. For Honour is free on PC if you download it this week and you own it forever. Here is a new trailer for for the content coming soon. Marching Fire is the name of the new DLC that adds the Wu lin faction from China. More content to be in march. A new 4 v 4 game mode will come out soon as as well. The new content does look interesting in many ways and the animations look refreshing. 16/10/18 is the release of this content.
The Crew 2. The first one was promising but the physics wasn’t nice from a racer stand point. The beta is coming soon. Combining bikes, off road and aircraft along with RB13 from the Redbull. The car that came third in the 2017 Formula one championship.
Assassins Creed Odyssey time. The leaks seem to be true so far. Ancient Greece. The world seems large and beautiful just like Origins. Boating is coming back playing a bigger role than before. This game doesn’t feel like an Assassins Creed game at all right now and hopefully they can bring in more Assassins features like the robes and such thing we know as fans. I haven’t seen a hidden blade yet either. You can choose to play as either a female or male character ruining the story as the character is as the game focuses on one narrative and splitting them like this is an horrible. When referencing this in the future what if they reference the Male version and I choose the female. As a devout fan of this franchise I haven’t seen anything that have defined the series yet. This is a true disappointment. Now for a game play sequence of the game. No hidden blade. No robes. No logos in places they should be. This game is a cheap reskin of Assassins Creed Origins and isn’t holding up the Creeds Legacy. It comes out this year to. October 5th. So much for every other year.
And that’s the now “thankful” end of thew conference. Yves, the Ceo closes out the show and now onto the post show and yes AC: Odyssey looks terrible to me. I apologise but that is my franchise I am a fan of.
