In a masterclass of hype, free PR and a way to regain interest in the game, the Fortnite world has been blown to bits.
It’s sent ardent fans into a frenzy of disbelief, as Epic Games ended season 10 by deleting almost all their Fortnite tweets, stopping people from being able to play the game and annihilating the players plus the Fortnite map.
Fortnite earned Epic Games more than any other game in 2018. Some $2.4 billion in revenue.
After the explosion and the destruction of the island, everything was sucked into a black hole. A live-stream of the black hole is still being watched by many thousands on Twitter, with people staring intently for clues..

Some have spotted sequences of numbers, whilst others are simply losing their sh*t because they can’t play the game.

Either way, this is now being covered globally by news outlets and has got ex-players interested in the brand again. There’s no doubt that it will return (especially considering how much the game makes) and it’s only a matter of time before the stream shows something slightly more interesting..
Update – Unsurprisingly enough, it’s baaaaaaaaaackkkk….
