The people at ASUS have just got in touch to confirm that their ROG Phone (the ZS600KL) will be receiving the Android Pie update very soon indeed.
New features such as advanced user experience, fully customised themes, a redesigned on-screen navigation bar and adaptive battery power management are due to arrive in the update.
The ROG Phone, which has now been superseded by the ROG II that we saw in May (but still remains rather excellent) has a vapour-chamber cooling system plus a detachable “AeroActive” cooling system for continued cool gaming. A 90Hz AMOLED screen, with HDR visuals, is coupled with a 2.96GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and an Adreno 630 GPU.
Best price we’ve found for one of these is £309.99. You can get the newer ROG Phone II for £442.99 from TobyDeals, but do let me know if you’ve seen it cheaper elsewhere.
