OK, what do we have here then? A Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 2GHz CPU, Android 10, 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. There’s a microSD slot if you need a bit more space too. Sure, seems a bit mid-range but she looks good and has a potent 4000mAh battery plus a 10W rapid charger.
There’s a 6.4″ 720×1560 pixel 19.5:9 screen and an in-display 8 megapixel selfie shooter. Around back there’s a triple-camera arrangement – a 16 megapixel f/1.7 wide, an 8 megapixel ultrawide and a 2 megapixel macro lens.
It’s got GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C charging, single-band 2.4GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack.
There’s a “water-repellent” design and is “bloatware-free”. Moto / Lenovo have also added a “Moto Gametime” feature so that you can play games without being interrupted by anything.
The moto g8 is available in Brazil so far and it’ll roll out to Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia in the coming weeks. Head to Motorola.co.uk for more info on this and the other G8 handsets that are available.
We’re waiting on UK dates but expect it in Amazon, Argos and John Lewis for £179.
