No Google services here, but the Huawei P smart 2021 will be arriving here in the UK for a mere £199 and – as we’ve mentioned before – there are ways to get your favourite apps onto Honor and Huawei phones that don’t have Google Play.
This phone will be available in Crush Green, Blush Gold and Midnight Black from the Huawei Store and selected operators and retailers.
Powered by Android 10 (and using EMUI 10.1), it’s 9.26 mm thick and weighs 206g, with a 6.67″ TFT LCD Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) screen and is powered by a Huawei Kirin 710A octa-core CPU running at up to 2GHz.
There’s 4GB RAM, 128GB storage and a microSD card slot for more.
Around the back there’s four cameras – a 48 megapixel (f/1.8), an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2 megapixel bokeh and a 2 megaxpixel macro lens for your close-ups. Around the front is an 8 megapixel selfie cam.
Inside is a 5,000 mAh battery which has the Huawei SuperCharge (22.5 W) capability and there’s single-band WiFi (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C charging, a 3.5mm audio port, GPS but sadly no NFC for your contactless payments.
