Here’s how lager and Bluetooth can drop you into a whole world of problems. This guy decided, after several beers, to … errmm… cause some damage to a Lamborghini Murcielago parked in the street. Filmed on various phones by his mates, the resulting damage cost around £20,000 to repair.
The owner didn’t know who’d caused it, however after the video was Bluetoothed (if that’s not a word it should be) around the pub by his mates, an employee of the owner received it and showed it to his boss. In court Frankie Hulme was fined £1000 and ordered to do a few weeks work without pay, presumably at the owners’ company. Whilst it doesn’t come near to paying for the damage, it probably serves as a warning that camera phones + alcohol + Bluetooth could get you into a whole heap of trouble. It also shows that it’s perhaps not the best idea to park a bright yellow Lamborghini Murcielago next to a pub.
Have you ever got into trouble after a video or picture got Bluetoothed ? Let us know!
