Huawei have just announced the Ascend P1 and P1 S Android smartphones. First up, the Ascend P1 S. This is just 6.68mm thick and has a slight buldge at the bottom just like the Galaxy SII from Samsung. It’ll run the very latest Android OS – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) and has a rather speedy dual-core 1.5GHz CPU.
Inside you’ll get 1GB RAM and there’s a large 4.3″ 960×540 pixel Super AMOLED capacitive screen.
As for the Ascend P1, this seems to be perhaps a slightly cheaper version and is 7.69mm thick but pretty much the same specs. These will both be available in the second quarter of this year. We’ll bring you more news on prices when we have it.
