Last week we saw the Tatung M1 at 3GSM. Although it didn’t cause waves like the i-Mate Smartflip did we still found it quite interesting that Tutung were entering the market. It’s already had FCC approval, so it can be safely sold without melting your brain. The manual states that the Tatung will have a TI OMAP 730 CPU which – they reckon – runs at 208Mhz. There’s also an audio port and MiniSD slot at the top of the device with the MiniUSB port at the side. Although it’s got a 1.3 Megapixel cam, 128Mb Flash and 64Mb RAM they’ve only put a 176×220 screen on, which is a bit of a let-down as nearly all new Windows Smartphones have the higher resolution 320×240 screen.
Shots of the screen in the manual seem to show “Cingular” as the network, so we presume this will hit the States sometime soon. Click below to get some hi-res shots of the device (from the FCC)
