What is it? It’s only just a flippin Google Music client for Windows Phone. The more observant of you out there may now that I use both Android and Windows Phone on a daily basis. Several things are daily essentials for me. Phone, Text messages, Email, Twitter, Google+, Camera and Music. Most of these are inter changeable between platforms.
Google Music is a free service that allows you to upload up to 20,000 songs and then stream them all back on a variety of Android phones, Android tablets, laptops and now Windows Phones as well. When Google Music came out I was a little stuck. Here was a great way of using my “unlimited” internet on my phone contract to listen to the thousands of songs on my laptop. Once I had spent weeks uploading most of it I set about listening to it. For my Android devices the apk was easily available. For Windows Phone I was up against a problem Google are probably never going to actually to release a Windows Phone version.
So Beattie Consulting have gone and made an app to do it themselves. Mighty fine it is as well. Once you have added your Google details the albums start to appear and off you go. All we need now is a Google+ app and I will be full time on Windows Phone.
The app is available in the Windows Phone Marketplace. It costs £2.99 but there is a trial version available so you can get a feel for it beforehand. The link is at the bottom of the page.
