TheRegister.co.uk reports on some new mobile / PDA displays from Sharp which provide a “clear, bright display visible from virtually any angle and under any ambient lighting condition”.
These LCD panels are based around the Sharp Aquos LCD TV screen. The screen combines back-lit transmissive and reflective LCD techniques, which makes it ideal for mobile phone use. A 160 degree viewing angle with 1.5, 2.4, 4.0 and 6.5in screen sizes and 560 x 240, 240 x 320, 480 x 640 and 400 x 234 resolutions are planned.
