A Week(end) with the HTC S740

Regular readers will hopefully be aware of our “Week With” video blogs. We’ve covered the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro. This time we’ve managed to get hold of the new HTC S740 that and we’ll be doing it all over again. Unfortunately we don’t have much time to play with this handset, so we’re renaming the feature to “A Weekend With the HTC S740”. 😉

The S740 is a rare beast, something we started to cover 6 years ago when Coolsmartphone appeared on the internet – a Microsoft Smartphone (aka “Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard”). The touch-screen devices seem to be all we write about now, so it’ll be interesting to see how a non-touch-screen device performs in 2008. The S740 is a quad-band handset with 3G, it’s powered by a Qualcomm 528Mhz CPU and has 256MB ROM and RAM with a QVGA screen, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, 3.2 megapixel camera, FM radio, microSD card slot and 1000mAh battery.
