Following our earlier story it now appears that Samsung are launching a range of Omnia handsets. In addition to the Omnia Pro B7610 and Omnia Pro B7320 this is the Omnia Pro II and the Samsung Omnia LITE.
The Omnia Pro II (I8000) has Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and the world’s largest 3.7-inch AMOLED display with WVGA resolution. It’s controlled with the TouchWiz 2.0 UI and has “Advanced Resistive Touch” for a quicker, more accurate touch response. There’s also DVD-like (480p) video recording and playback with HSUPA 5.76Mbps, HSDPA 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi capabilities. There’s also up to 48GB storage capacity, we presume this is external.
The Omnia LITE (B7300) is a “simple all-rounder” and has the same TouchWiz 2.0 interface with widgets to download onto the GUI for additional services. Opera is included with HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity. Multi-codec high-quality video, a 3 megapixel camera and aGPS are also part of the package.
