Windows Phone 8 will soon be upon us. This excites me. Nokia have already mentioned that they shall be announcing their new devices on September the 5th and now it is HTCs turn to let us know what they plan. Apparently HTC plan to announce three new devices in the third week of September. The location is rumoured to be New York or London.
WPDang have got some specs of what HTC plan to announce and yes they certainly look familiar.

- The Zenith uses an as yet unnamed quad-core Snapdragon processors.
The Accord and the Zenith sound very much like the HTC One S and the HTC One X. It looks like HTC are going to do something similar to what they did with the HTC Titan and the Sensation XL, which shared the same device just with different operating systems. The Zenith will be a great device to have on Windows Phone 8, the beauty of Windows Phone is that the hardware doesn’t massively affect the user experience. As shown with the current range of single core devices. But the Zenith should fly.
Personally I can’t wait for these new devices to come out. How about you guys? Are you looking forward to Windows Phone 8?

I think the Android to WP8 switch is nearing for me. You just get the feeling that, along with Windows 8, Microsoft are going to make this work. And the potential to develop apps for both systems will draw in developers.
I also like the dedicated camera butto for WP8 – better way to take photos. Main issue with the HTC phones above is that the Zenith, if it’s like the One X, will have a protruding and very scratch prone camera lens. Will wait to see what Nokia comes up with first…
My Titan has that as well. Quite annoying.
I want the Accord to sit next to my One S, and then I can ditch the Mozart =D
That would be a nice combo.
We could do with a manufacturer producing a premium feeling phone. The OS is on a par, if not better, than iOS, but the hardware doesn’t look and feel as premium as Apple devices. This isn’t something that particularly bothers me (I have an Omnia W), but it would be nice for consumers to have the choice.
Perhaps everyone is scared of being sued by Apple if they so much as use a material other than plastic. 😉 I was hoping MS would be releasing a phone after they announced surface. A kick up the backside for manufacturers in the phone market is as necessary as the tablet market.
Good point, though I thought the Lumia phones looked and felt pretty impressive in the hand (and had a recessed camera lens). Something similar sporting WP8 and I’d be v. happy…
