If you’ve got an S3 and it’s SIM-free, get checking Kies for your Jelly Bean update, because it’s available right now.
Lee and Carl have both emailed after pumping their Samsung Galaxy S3 handsets up to Android 4.1.1 – they’re now on JRO03c.I9300XXDLJ4.
Let us know whether you’ve got your Jelly Bean upgrade yet and whether you got your phone SIM-free or if it’s from a network. We’d love to know how many of you have Jelly Bean upgrades lined up. Sadly it looks like Orange customers are still waiting.
Only 4.1.1? My Nexus S is on 4.1.2…
Come on Orange UK
may be first with 4G but last in the line for S3 “Jelly Beans” !!!

Vodafone handset, unlocked, on T-Mobile, Upgraded OTA Wednesday.
~350mb download, 28mins on 3G (H/H+) – Slicker interface, new pull down notification layout, GMail app & other App notification summary is good, but a little messy – better when multiple entries and summarised. Battery life seems better – a little early to tell.
For the life of me, I cannot get Kies to work. I just get these large grey windows with nothing in them pop up when I try to upgrade. Using Windows 7 Home Premium on a netbook. Anyone else.
May be worth uninstalling Kies and reinstall !!
I have tried that several times and also tried adjusting my graphics options and plugging in to an external monitor (with a higher resolution than the netbook). However this appears to be a common problem. I have managed to get round the problem by clicking where the buttons are from looking at the thumbnails on the taskbar and then checking the thumbnail to see if I’ve hit it.
