Can’t get yourself a Nexus 4? Are you one of the unfortunates who tried to place an order on the Google site, only to be knocked back at the last minute?
Well worry no more. Get your nose out of the keyboard, dry those tears, because Virgin Mobile is now offering up the Nexus 4 on contract, provided you don’t mind signing up for 24 months. Somehow the network has got themselves a big stack of the LG-made handsets, which feature Android Jelly Bean, 4.7″ True HD IPS+ display, 1.5Ghz Quad-Core QualComm S4 Pro CPU, 8 megapixel camera and 2GB RAM.
Deals seem to start from £31 per month (200 mins, 500 text, 500MB data) and for that you get the phone free.

I got my nexus 4 from the Google website, I guess I was lucky, I got one from the second batch. Clicked the order button, went to payment, and got my Nexus delivered 10 days later.
I stupidly thought that by the time I was at the end of my contract, that demand would have died down and that stock would no longer be an issue.
Well, I am now in a position to give Google some money and look at the situation. 🙁
Sourcing from a network is a no go, as I was hoping to use this as an opportunity to cut costs and contract ties. Compared with that, these Virgin offerings are not at all appealing.
All the networks are making a huge amount of money on this phone. I recently move to Virgin on a SIM only deal, £7pm 150 mins, unlimited texts and 500meg, so, in my eyes a better deal than this. Using my £7pm contract, this makes the N4 £576 through Virgin. Even a 16gig phone on a £25pm contract is too much for these terms. And people complain about ebay scalpers!
