We’re here at the LG virtual press conference and LG have just announced their LG Optimus One (LG-P500) and LG Optimus Chic. The quad-band Optimus One runs on a 600MHz CPU but gets a 1500mAh battery for around 7 and a half hours of talk-time. It’ll run Android 2.2 (FroYo) and comes with the usual sensors, a digital compass, GPS, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1, microSD card expansion and a 3 megapixel camera.
The LG Optimus Chic (LG-E720) has the same CPU but a 1250mAh battery. This also comes with the usual WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, Android 2.2 OS, FM radio, GPS, sensors and microSD expansion but has a 5 megapixel camera.
Both have capacitive 3.2″ HVGA (320 x 480) screens. The LG optimus One will be available in Europe from October with Optimus Chic from November. We’ve just added a stack of photos of both devices and full specs on the links below. Click on for the full press release.

LG Optimus One and LG Optimus Chic are among the earliest smartphones to launch with Android 2.2, Froyo, the latest version of the Android platform, which allows for two to three times faster and smoother internet browsing, web-page loading, application pop-ups and multi-tasking.
