The number of complaints regarding Spam text-messages received by mobile watchdog ICSTIS has increased dramatically. ICSTIS – the UK regulator for all premium rate telecoms services – said complaints increased by 43 per cent in 2002 to 11,572.
A huge rise in premium rate services (like interactive TV games, ringtones, news alerts or casting votes in TV shows) has probably caused the complaints.
