Finland is famous for several things, lakes, Angry Birds and Nokia. We all know how big Nokia used to be and you can imagine how many staff they used to have. Well Samsung have decided to capitilise on these technical Ex-Nokia staff and they’re opening up a new R&D plant just for them.
They’re even throwing a big grand opening event to mark the occasion. Stefan from Androidbeat has even got an invite, he is from Finland and an Ex-Nokia staff member. Maybe they’re going to give him a job as well.

So have Samsung spotted potential in the residents of Finland? Are they just trolling Nokia? Either way it doesn’t seem that the never ending onslaught of devices from Samsung is ever going to end.
Hopefully “innovative technologies and efficient processes” doesn’t mean more gimmicky software additions and plasticy build quality.
