Recently we reviewed the Acer Liquid E1. It’s got a dual-core CPU and a 5 megapixel shooter. However, the Acer Liquid E2 is now in stock and the specification has been significantly ramped up.
Powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, this has Android 4.2, 4GB internal storage, a microSD card slot (for another 32GB), an 8 megapixel camera and a front 2 megapixel camera. The display is a 4.5″ 960×540 pixel screen (with 245 ppi) and there’s WiFi, aGPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 2000 mAh battery.
Oh yes, there’s something else you should be aware of – it’s dual SIM. This means that you can effectively carry your personal and work phone around inside one rather nippy Android handset.
The best bit? Well, like I said before, it’s cheap. We spotted it for £179.99 last week but it’s now down in price at just £169.99 with free delivery. Blimey. Less than £170 for a very decent quad-core Android? SIM-free? If that isn’t a deal then I’m going home.
Expansys have the black and white versions in stock, so take your pick.
Nah, still showing up as £179
Bought one £169.99 with free delivery, came the next day. Both sims work at the same time. Camera has a nice feature – auto snaps when it detects a smile. Some reviews say it’s ugly, I think it’s ok, certainly seen worse. Overall a bargain!
How does the phone deal with data connections?. As an example you have 500mb on one sim and 1gb on the other. Thanks.
You can only use 1 sim at a time for data. You have to choose. You can change at any time.
