EE today announced their financial results, but what they also announced a bit later on was that 10 more towns across the UK have had 4G switched on. This gives them 60% coverage just 9 months since launch.
Belfast, Newcastle and Southampton have also been upgraded to the new ‘double speed’ service allowing even faster downloads then ever before.

EE, the UK’s most advanced digital communications company, today announced that 4G is available in 10 more towns across the UK. The superfast mobile network now covers 95 towns and cities across the UK.
Today, EE 4G is being switched on in Altrincham, Bedford, Camberley, Crawley, Farnborough, Farnham , Maidstone, Rochdale, Tonbridge and Welwyn Garden City as the rapid pace of the roll out continues. 4G from EE now covers the homes and businesses of almost 60% of the UK population.
EE is also continuing the roll out of double speed 4G and today the service, which offers speeds up to 60Mbps and averages of 24-30Mbps, is being switched on in Belfast, Newcastle and Southampton, adding to the 12 cities launched earlier this month.
