The HTC One Max has been a rumour for quite a while, but now we have some leaked photos to look at. Unsurprisingly the 5.9 inch iteration looks almost identical to the 4.7 inch One we know and love. The trouble is that we have no point of reference as to its size, so slug-killing doses of salt should be taken with this leak.
Other claims include these specs:
- 5.9 inch Full HD display
- Snapdragon 800 Chipset clocked at 2.3Ghz
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB internal storage with microSD support
- Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
- 4Mpx rear camera with Ultrapixel camera and Optical image stabilization and 2.1 Mpx front camera
- Wifi a/b/g/n/ac and bluetooth 4.0
- 3300mAh battery
- HTC Sense 5.5
- 9.4mm thickness
- Dual Front speakers
Assuming all of this is correct, HTC has got a strong contender in the big-ass phone market. Forget about the Samsung Galaxy Mega, the race is between the Sony Xperia Ultra and the HTC One Max. The question is all about price, because the Ultra is ridiculously expensive at £599, so if HTC can pitch the Max around £500-£549 I can see it being a winner in this competition of the superlatives.
No matter what though, the Samsung Galaxy Note III will give both of them a hard time.
