Also announced today is the Huawei MediaPad X1, a sort of massive phone small tablet combination but does have some very interesting specifications from the 80% screen size to the to being the thinnest small tablet available at just 7.18mm thin, thats 30% lighter than an iPad Mini!
The screen has an impressive full HD resolution so that is 1200 x 1920, 16GB of storage with 2GB of RAM to power it so you are getting a decent oomph under the case
Speaking of power there is a massive 5000mAh battery built in, great for taking the tablet on the move with you, enough to watch 5 full movies according to Huawei.
Cat4 LTE for speeds up to 150Mbps are built in and as this takes a SIM card you can also use it as a phone if you want, although why you would want to use a 7 inch phone is worth thinking about.
It looks for now like Android 4.2.2 is going to run out of the box, but with launch still a little way to go you never know this might just get the KitKat upgade your hoping for.
As with the G6, the stand for the announcement was packed solid so not able to get decent enough video for now but we will be getting more hands on time during the week
