Huawei are a brand that can confuse at times. They really don’t seem to mind producing quite good handsets and then letting a network / carrier splash their logo across the device and claiming it to be their own phone. This is the new slimmer version of theĀ Ideos S7 and maintains the 7″ screen and WVGA 800×480 capacitive screen. A 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU powers Android 2.2 and there’s the same 3.2 megapixel camera which can be found on the more rotund S7. It has 512MB RAM and weighs in at 440grams with WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth and HD video.
Coming in April 2011 this hasn’t got the blistering screen and camera specs we’ve seen on some other tablets here in Barcelona but Huawei state that it’ll be sold at a very competitive price point.

Not a blistering screen – does that mean it’ll be resistive?
