If you own a Pulse and want the update check the link below
February 2011: T-Mobile Pulse software update (Android 2.1 – updated version)
This software will update your T-Mobile pulse to the latest version of software. Before you apply this update, you need to have:
- A backup of your data – the update will wipe your phone. Data you sync with Gmail can be re-sync’d after the update, but other data e.g. SMS, media etc… should be backed up
- A fully charged battery
- A Micro SD memory card with more than 256mb of free space you can copy the update to
Then follow the steps below to update your phone:
- Download the update file
- Unzip the file U8220V100R001GBRC85B118SP01.zip to a location of your choice on your computer
- Copy the files you just unzipped (the “dload” folder and all its contents) to the root directoryof your MICRO SD card
- Insert your MICRO SD card into the handset
- On your Pulse, go to the Main menu, then select Settings
- Within Settings select SD card & phone storage
- Scroll down, under the Internal phone storage section select Upgrade
- The upgrade process will give you several warnings which you need to confirm to continue
- Then press the Upgrade option to begin the update
- As the update progresses you will see several screens along with a progress bar
- Once complete you will see a confirmation screen, and your Pulse will automatically restart
- Once restarted your Pulse will be up to date with the latest software

Wow!!!! 2.1. Ammmmmmmmmmmmmmmazing.
I’m half wondering why they bothered. Can we expect 2.2 in 2013 at this rate?
Ha ha. What a . . .
* Android 1.5? – Which is already on the phone
* Android 2.1? – Now two releases old
* An update that wipes the phone! So 1990s.
I have HTC pulse with Android 2.1. I wanted to upgrade to 2.3 . So I tried going to Settings-> About phone -> System updates But I get “Your system is currently up to date”. Can I someone suggest how to upgrade ? are there any other ways ?
